The windshield installation process starts with applying the necessary amount of Primer G to the application surface of the 2 No. 2 windshield glass stoppers using a brush or sponge before tossing away the unused primer after it dries for at least three minutes. You must add 2 brand new No. 2 windshield glass stoppers to the windshield glass. Afterward the installation of 2 new No. 1 windshield glass stoppers to the vehicle body occurs. Begin by applying Primer G to the application area of the windshield outside moulding before installing the new moulding onto the windshield glass after the primer has dried. The application area for windshield glass adhesive dam should receive Primer G coverage before drying adequately to enable new adhesive dam installation along its reference line. To install the windshield glass assembly using suction cups, maintain a smooth contact surface and mark positions if performing fresh glass installation. Paint Primer M onto the installation area of the vehicle body while keeping adhesives areas free from the coating before allowing it to dry. Primer G must be applied to the adhesive area and not excessively spread before using Toyota Genuine Windshield Glass Adhesive or an equivalent product with the cartridge nozzle tip cut off. To mount the windshield glass assembly just push it gently along the rim so it becomes attached securely while inspecting the stoppers and clearance. When adjusting the adhesive use a scraper while holding the glass with protective tape until the adhesive sets firmly and do not start driving until the specified minimum time has passed. Examine for leaks by spraying water outside the installation; in case of leaks present dry the area first then reapply adhesive before dismantling the protective tape. After placing the front roof headlining section back to its original position you should proceed with assembling all components including sunroof trim moulding and rear mirror assembly as well as the holder and light fixtures and grip subsystem and visor and map illuminator parts and front pillar trim pieces and ventilator grilles and cowl fasteners and windshield replacement assemblies and ground the negative terminal of the battery.

Place matchmarks on the glass and vehicle body, disconnect the windshield glass stoppers, and use suction cups to remove the glass while ensuring not to drop it.
