Before performing maintenance on either component of the rack and pinion assembly and the steering intermediate shaft always mark the parts with matchmarks. Proceed with the installation of the tie rod assembly LH on the rack and pinion assembly and set its matchmarks then adjust toe-in before tightening the lock nut. Do the same steps with the tie rod assembly RH. The left-side installation of AWD steering link assembly requires two bolts and two nuts that need a torque of 70 Nm (713 kgf-cm, 51ft-lbf) and avoid nut rotation when tightening the bolts. The procedure moves to stabilizer bar front bracket installation and then both Left and Right front No. 1 stabilizer brackets get added following the same steps each side receives. The engine along with transaxle should be installed as the next step. The 2WD vehicle gets its steering link assembly from 2 bolts and 2 nuts that require a torque of 70 Nm (713 kgf-cm, 51ft-lbf) before installing the front stabilizer bar with bracket and the front No. 1 stabilizer brackets LH and RH which need 29 Nm (296 kgf-cm, 21ft-lbf) torque for their brackets. After securing the front floor brace, the steering knuckle and tie rod assembly LH need to receive a 49 Nm (500 kgf-cm, 36ft-lbf) torque while you install a new cotter pin followed by additional nut tightening up to 60 degrees if required. Rephrase the connection techniques for the tie rod assembly RH. Install the bolt between the steering intermediate shaft assembly and steering link assembly while tightening it to 35 Nm (357 kgf-cm, 26ft-lbf) and complete installation by torquing the front wheels to 103 Nm (1050 kgf-cm, 76ft-lbf). Follow this process to have the front wheels aligned directly forward before placing No. 1 and No. 2 and No. 3 engine under covers for final inspection and adjustment of alignment.

Remove the front floor brace, followed by the front No. 1 stabilizer brackets on both sides.
