Front Pipe

Before installation of the exhaust pipe assembly the technician must measure compression spring length with a vernier caliper to replace the spring if it is shorter than 41.5 mm (1.64 in.). Fully insert a new gasket into the exhaust manifold converter sub-assembly while using a plastic hammer and wooden block to press it until flush with the surface. Install it with correct direction and avoid reuse and damage. Screw the front exhaust pipe assembly to 2 bolts and 2 compression springs before torquing them to 43 Nm (438 kgf-cm, 32 ft-lbf). You must apply a new gasket to the center exhaust pipe assembly followed by its connection to the 2 exhaust pipe supports then tighten 2 bolts to 43 Nm (438 kgf-cm, 32 ft-lbf). To install the tail exhaust pipe assembly check the free length of the compression springs and replace them whenever the measurement falls under 38.5 mm (1.52 in.). Irrespective of safety measures, install another gasket onto the center exhaust pipe assembly while tapping it until it becomes flush. Fasten the 2 bolts together with 2 compression springs to the 4 exhaust pipe supports while torquing them to 43 Nm (438 kgf-cm, 32 ft-lbf). Stick the concave surface of tail exhaust pipe baffle sub-assemblies to matching protuberances of the tail exhaust pipe assembly before tapping them uniformly with a plastic hammer. Install the heated oxygen sensor and check exhaust gas leaks as the last step of the process.

Take out the 2 bolts and 2 compression springs, detach it from the 4 exhaust pipe supports, and remove the gasket from the center exhaust pipe assembly.
