Begin the exhaust pipe installation process by measuring the compression spring free length with a vernier caliper since any measurement below 40.5 mm (1.594 in.) requires spring replacement. A plastic-faced hammer and wooden block should be used to tap a new gasket into place until the exhaust manifold surface is flush while installing it correctly and avoiding repeated use. After installing the exhaust pipe between the 2 supports you must add 2 compression springs and 2 bolts before tightening them to 43 Nm (438 kgf-cm, 32 ft-lbf). Examine the compression spring length installed in the tailpipe assembly since a measurement lower than 38.5 mm (1.516 in.) calls for replacement. Secure the front exhaust pipe in place by installing a new gasket then connect the 2 exhaust pipe supports while installing the tailpipe using 2 compression springs and 2 bolts whose torque must be set to 43 Nm (438 kgf-cm, 32 ft-lbf). Fasten the front floor panel brace using two bolts that need to be torqued to 30 Nm (302 kgf-cm, 22 ft-lbf). The heated oxygen sensor needs installation while also installing the instrument panel finish panel lower center. After this, connect the cable to the negative battery terminal. Exhaust gas leaks should be checked before tightening particular leaking areas or replacing defective components. Install the rear No. 3 floor board and rear deck floor box before fitting in the rear No. 2 floor board followed by system initialization that becomes necessary after negative battery terminal disconnect.

Take off the 2 bolts and 2 compression springs, detach the tailpipe from the 2 exhaust supports, and remove the gasket from the front exhaust pipe.

Reconnect engine wire No.3 (battery negative terminal), check for exhaust gas leaks, and reinstall the rear floor board No.3, deck floor box rear, and rear floor board No.2.

Take out the 2 bolts and 2 compression springs, detach the front exhaust pipe from the 2 exhaust pipe supports, and remove the gasket from the exhaust manifold.

Reconnect the cable to the negative battery terminal and check for exhaust gas leaks, tightening any problem areas and replacing damaged parts as necessary.

Disconnect engine wire No.3 (battery negative terminal).
