The first step to remove the hatchback exterior name plate requires users to disconnect the negative cable from the battery terminal while operating with fog lights. The front bumper cover should be removed with protective tape before users detach 8 screws and 2 screw grommets then pop off 7 clips. The tool requires protective tape on a screwdriver tip for disconnecting two fog light connectors after removing 6 claws from the front bumper assembly. Models without fog lights require users to just detach their 6 claws before removing the front bumper. Using a pair of pliers remove the radiator grille emblem by disconnecting its 4 holding claws. Installation of the Sport Package requires users to detach the 2 screws and radiator grille name plate retainer while they disengage 2 claws to extract the No. 2 emblem from the grille. You can remove the symbol emblem by first applying protective tape to the back door panel area around the emblem then heating the emblem with an infrared light to 40-60 degrees Celsius (104-140 degrees Fahrenheit) for one to two minutes followed by using a gasket scraper with wrapped protective tape tip to peel the adhesive surface. Afterward, remove the protective tape. Apply protective tape then heat the No. 1 and No. 2 luggage compartment door name plates before using a gasket scraper and properly removing the protective tape from each plate after removal.

Disengage 4 claws.

Disengage 4 claws to remove the emblem.

Align the 2 pins and install a new symbol emblem in an environment above 20°C (68°F).

Use a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape to disengage 6 claws, disconnect 2 fog light connectors, and then remove the front bumper.

If not equipped with a front spoiler, remove 7 screws and 3 bolts, then the 2 screw grommets and 6 clips.
