The brake caliper service requires you to first remove the rear wheel along with disc fastening to hub nuts that should reach a torque value of 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft. lbs.). The process starts by disconnecting the flexible hose by taking off its union bolt along with its 2 gaskets from the caliper which needs a torque setting of 29 Nm (300 kgf-cm, 22 ft. lbs.). Place a container under the caliper to catch draining fluid while you install the flexible hose lock inside its lock hole. Reinstall the caliper after removing its 2 installation bolts which need a torque of 34 Nm (350 kgf-cm, 25 ft. lbs.) while ensuring that the sliding pin along with its sliding bushing faces the bottom direction. After taking off the caliper from the torque plate technicians should remove 2 brake pads with anti-squeal shims and 4 pad support plates while keeping friction surfaces of the pads and disc free from oil or grease. Installation of the brake system begins by reversing removal actions alongside brake fluid filling into the reservoir and brake system bleeding followed by leak checks.

Detach the caliper from the torque plate, followed by the removal of 2 brake pads with anti-squeal shims and 4 pad support plates, ensuring no oil or grease is present on the friction surfaces of the pads or disc.

Remove the 2 brake pads with anti-squeal shims and the 2 pad support plates.

Remove the 2 brake pads with anti-squeal shims and the 2 pad support plates.

Replace the disc and repeat the inspection.

Reverse the removal steps, ensuring to fill the brake reservoir with brake fluid, bleed the brake system, and check for any fluid leaks.
