The brake caliper service process starts with flexible hose disconnection which requires taking off the union bolt and removing two gaskets from the caliper while tightening the connection to 30 Nm (310 kgf-cm, 22 ft. lbs.). Efficient brake caliper installation requires new gaskets and requires the flexible hose lock to be placed in the caliper lock hole while containing escaping brake fluid with a container. The procedure requires you to grasp the sliding pin and untighten the 2 installation bolts until they reach 26 Nm (270 kgf-cm). Then you should remove the bolts to detach the caliper from the torque plate. You need to detach both anti-squeal shims and 4 pad support plates from the 2 brake pads. To install the brake components follow the opposite order of removal by filling the brake fluid reservoir followed by bleeding the system before inspecting for fluid leakage.

Measure the disc runout with a dial indicator at a position 10 mm (0.39 inch) from the outside edge, with a maximum allowable runout of 0.05 mm (0.0020 inch).

Remove the pad protector, clip, 2 pad guide pins, anti-rattle spring, and the 2 pads with 4 anti-squeal shims.

Use 2 new gaskets during installation.

Fill the brake reservoir with fluid, bleed the brake system, and check for leaks.
