Oil Cooler

The first step to service the oil cooler demands draining the engine coolant. The maintenance starts by detaching the No.1 and No.2 oil cooler hoses. First disconnect the bolt and relief valve and oil cooler and gaskets before torquing all components to 59 Nm (600 kgf-cm, 43 ft. lbs.). The installation process requires the replacement of the old O-ring with a new one together with fresh gasket usage for the relief valve. The service requires checking the oil cooler for damage and obstructions while considering replacement in case of necessary. Installation needs to be carried out following the exact opposite steps used for removal.

You need to drain engine coolant as the first step before servicing the oil cooler. The following step requires disconnecting the hose connections for No.1 and No.2 oil coolers. You must remove the bolt as well as the relief valve and gaskets and oil cooler with an applied torque count of 59 Nm. When performing installation tasks users must switch out the O-ring part with a new one while also applying a fresh relief valve gasket. The oil cooler must be checked for damage or clogging before you consider replacement. The installation process executes the opposite sequence compared to the removal steps.

Clean the oil cooler contact surface on the mounting.
