Condenser Assembly

The removal process of the HVAC condenser begins by recovering refrigerant from the refrigeration system followed by negative battery terminal cable disconnection and spending a minimum of 90 seconds for SRS system disablement. Start by removing the front bumper cover before disconnecting the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose with the bolt and O-ring removal while keeping tools away from the pipe and positioning the pipe close to its connector. Apply vinyl tape to all openings to stop moisture and foreign substances from getting inside. Seal the openings of cooler refrigerant liquid pipe A by removing its two bolts and O-ring with caution to avoid touching the pipe and properly sealing both ends. Remove the assembly of high pitched horns as well as low pitched horns and shroud blower assembly alongside the transmission oil cooler air duct by unfastening 4 bolts. The next step involves discarding the oil cooler assembly using 4 bolts while the hood lock support brace sub-assembly requires removal of the hood lock nut cap combined with 3 bolts. Dismantle the hood lock control cable cover followed by the removal of the hood lock assembly. The next step requires removing the radiator support sub-assembly by unbolting 8 valve nuts and finally the cooler condenser assembly should be removed following illustrations. The removal process for the cooler dryer requires a 14 mm socket hexagon wrench to detach the cap from the modulator and afterward remove the O-ring and extract the cooler dryer with pliers.

Remove the cooler condenser assembly as illustrated.

Install 4 bolts in the specified sequence with a torque of 12 Nm (122 kgf-cm, 9 ft-lbf).
