Condenser Assembly

The procedure to service and repair the HVAC condenser starts with draining refrigerant from the refrigeration system by evacuating air completely and adding the correct amount of refrigerant: Single A/C needs 750 plus or minus 50 g (26.45 plus or minus 1.76 oz.) while Dual A/C needs 1050 plus or minus 50 g (37.03 plus or minus 1.76 oz.). The service includes removing the condenser cooling fan together with both A/T oil cooler assemblies and horns as well as the hood lock and hood lock support brace. To proceed with the operation disconnect both tube and hose from the discharge hose by removing its 2 bolts and applying 5.4 N.m (5.5 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf) of torque. Apply compressor oil to two fresh O-rings and install them to the tubes before you fasten their openings with caps to stop outside moisture or contaminants. To disconnect the liquid pipe start by removing 2 bolts which allows detaching both hose and tube. Maintain a torque of 5.4 N.m (5.5 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf) and quickly apply caps to the tube ends. Uninstall the condenser assembly through the removal of two bolts while pulling the components forward and raising them up. The replacement condenser requires 40 to 50 cc (1.4 to 1.7 fl.oz.) of ND-OIL 8 or an equivalent compressor oil to be added to the compressor system. The installation process requires procedures that reverse the steps used in the removal process.

Lubricate 2 new O-rings with compressor oil before installing them onto the tubes.

Remove the 2 bolts and ensure to torque to 5.4 N.m (5.5 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf).

Disconnect it in the same manner as the discharge hose, ensuring to cap the openings and lubricate new O-rings.
