Condenser Assembly

First install the cooler dryer using pliers and add sufficient ND-OIL 8 or equivalent compressor oil to the new O-ring contact surfaces and cap before mounting the O-ring to its position. Use a 14 mm socket hexagon wrench to put the cap on the modulator while applying 2.9 Nm (29 kgf-cm, 25 in-lbf) torque. The procedure involves installing the cooler condenser assembly right after which comes the No. 2 fan shroud installation using 2 bolts at 10.5 Nm (107 kgf-cm, 8 ft-lbf). Secure the radiator support upper bracket through two bolts which should be tightened to 45 Nm (459 kgf-cm, 33 ft-lbf). To replace the condenser users must use 40 cc (1.4 fl. oz.) ND-8 oil or equivalent compressor oil when installing the new condenser. Install the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe to the condenser using a bolt while applying 9.8 Nm (100 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf) torque but first coat the fitting surface and new O-ring with ND-OIL 8 or equivalent compressor oil and place the O-ring before attaching the pipe. Secure the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose with a bolt that requires 9.8 Nm torque after you have applied sufficient oil to the seal surfaces. The service procedure includes adjusting hood sub-assembly before installing front bumper cover and cable connection to negative battery terminal and charging refrigerant and warming engine and leak inspection.

Remove the bolt and the hose, followed by removing the O-ring.

Disconnect the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe in the same manner and seal the openings.

Remove the bolt and the hose from the cooler condenser, then remove the O-ring from the hose.
