The first step to serve or fix the Hydraulic Control Assembly for Antilock Brakes requires disconnecting the connector through the release bar pull. Special Service Tools 09023-00100 and 09023-38200 should be utilized to disconnect six brake lines from the actuator assembly, while performing 15 Nm (155 kgf-cm, 11 ft. lbs.) torque on the 10 mm nut and 19.5 Nm (195 kgf-cm, 14 ft. lbs.) torque on the 12 mm nut. A note or labels should be made to ensure proper placement of the brake lines during the installation process. Take off all 3 assembly connector nuts before torquing them to 11 Nm (112 kgf-cm, 8 ft. lbs.). The first step for disassembly involves removing the actuator bracket through 3 bolts tightened at 9.5 Nm (97 kgf-cm, 84 inch lbs.) before extracting the 3 cushions from the bracket. At this point, E5 torx wrenches are essential to remove the 3 screws that control the skid control ECU while torquing them to 1.8 Nm (18 kgf-cm, 16 inch lbs.). A protective cover must shield the actuator to stop contamination of sealing surfaces, while plastic tools and delicate objects can be used for cleanup without chemical cleaners. The reverse order of disassembly must be followed during reassembly while installation requires brake fluid filling into the reservoir and brake system bleeding with leak inspection. When installing a new skid control ECU it is essential to initiate zero point calibration for both steering angle and master cylinder pressure and yaw rate and deceleration sensors.

Remove the 3 cushions and 3 spacers from the actuator bracket.
