When repairing or servicing the compressor clutch start by performing its dismantle sequence. To remove the pressure plate you must use Special Service Tool: 07112-76060 together with a socket wrench as well as applying 13.2 N.m (135 kgf.cm, 9 ft.lbf) torque to the shaft bolt. First install Special Service Tool: 07112-66004 on the pressure plate and utilize Special Service Tool: 07112-66010, 07112-76060 with a socket wrench to remove the pressure plate along with its shims. Rephrase ring removal requires Special Service Tool 95994-10020 which allows users to remove the snap ring but orient it properly during reinstallation by directing its beveled side towards the top. When removing the rotor from the shaft users should implement a plastic hammer to generate precise taps while maintaining the pulley's integrity. The removal procedure ends with extraction of the stator from the compressor housing. The steps for reassembly must be performed in the opposite direction of disassembly procedures. During reassembly set the dial indicator on the pressure plate while connecting the magnetic clutch lead wire to the positive (+) terminal of the battery for measuring the clearance between pressure plate and rotor when attaching the negative (-) terminal. The standard clearance is 0.5 plus or minus 0.15 mm (0.020 plus or minus 0.0059 in.). To obtain the standard clearance use shims of thickness 0.1 mm (0.004 in.), 0.3 mm (0.012 in.), or 0.5 mm (0.020 in.).

The first step to repair and service a compressor clutch requires its complete disassembly. Remove the pressure plate through the combination of Special Service Tool: 07112-76060 and a socket wrench for shaft bolt extraction using 13.2 Nm (135 kg.cm, 9 ft.lb) torque settings. Start by applying Special Service Tool: 07112-66040 onto the pressure plate followed by utilizing the tool with Special Service Tool: 07112-76060 and a socket wrench to detach the pressure plate before removing the shims. When removing rotors use Special Service Tool: 07114-84020 to remove the snap ring while orienting the face-up orientation of the beveled side for reassembly. Remove the rotor from the shaft with a plastic hammer while protecting the pulley from getting damaged. Users must detach the stator lead wire from the compressor housing before using Special Service Tool: 07114-84020 to remove the snap ring, maintaining the beveled side at the top during reassembly steps. Finally, remove the stator. A reverse sequence of steps needs to be followed during reassembly. A dial indicator set against the pressure plate allows measurement of magnetic clutch clearance when you connect the magnetic clutch lead wire to the positive (+) battery terminal and check the position between pressure plate and rotor during negative (-) terminal connection. The security clearance between parts must fall within 0.5 plus or minus 0.15 mm (0.020 plus or minus 0.0059 in.). The standard clearance should be 0.5 plus or minus 0.15 mm (0.020 plus or minus 0.0059 in.). To reach the standard clearance measure the clearance using shims of thickness 0.1mm (0.004in.), 0.3mm (0.012 in.) and 0.5mm (0.020 in.) in any order.

Begin the compressor clutch service and repair operation by disassembling the parts. You need Special Service Tools 07112-76060 and a socket wrench to loosen the shaft bolt of the pressure plate before installing Special Service Tool: 07112-6040 and repeating the procedure with the same tools. You should remove the shims which are located on the pressure plate. Use Special Service Tool: 07114-84020 to detach the snap ring while maintaining the beveled side upwards and gingerly tap the rotor off the shaft with a plastic hammer. To remove the stator begin by detaching its lead wire from the compressor housing followed by the installation of Special Service Tool: 07114-84020 which allows you to remove the snap ring (once again place the beveled side up during reinstallation) before removing the stator itself. To install the stator, position it on the front housing before using Special Service Tool: 07114-84020 to set a new snap ring with face-up bevel orientation. After that, connect the stator lead wire. After fixing the rotor on the stator you must use Special Service Tool: 07114-84020 to apply a new snap ring that faces upward due to its beveled design. Apply torque on the shaft bolt to 13.2 Nm (135 kg.cm, 9 ft.lb) utilizing Special Service Tool: 07112-76060 and a socket wrench while securely setting the pressure plate on the rotor by first installing the shims on the pressure plate. To check magnetic clutch clearance set the dial indicator on the pressure plate then link the magnetic clutch lead wire to the battery's positive (+) terminal and measure the pressure plate and rotor distance when connecting the negative (-) terminal. Use shims with 0.1 mm (0.004 in.) or 0.3 mm (0.012 in.) or 0.5 mm (0.020 in.) thickness to achieve a clearance between 0.5 plus or minus 0.15 mm (0.020 plus or minus 0.0059 in.).

Inspect for refrigerant leakage using a gas leak detector, checking the tightening torque at the joints if leakage is found, and inspect A/C operation.

Remove the bolt and cap the fittings.

Disconnect the discharge hose by removing the bolt.
