The process to remove an exhaust pipe begins with protective glove usage along with waiting until the pipe cools following engine poweroff. Commence the process by taking out the No. 2 engine under cover. Then remove the tailpipe assembly by first taking out its bolt and clamp and gasket and finally remove the tailpipe from the center exhaust pipe and its two supports. The exhaust pipe damper can be removed by disconnecting its two mounting bolts which secure the pipe to the tailpipe. The center exhaust pipe assembly requires removal of four bolts along with two compression springs before you can extract the pipe from its three supports together with the two front exhaust pipe and front No.2 exhaust pipe gaskets. Disconnect both air fuel ratio sensor and heated oxygen sensor connectors from the front No. 2 exhaust pipe assembly before extracting the front No. 2 exhaust pipe and its gasket from exhaust manifold LH through removal of three nuts. The disconnection procedure must be performed twice on the air fuel ratio sensor and heated oxygen sensor connectors for the front exhaust pipe assembly followed by removing the front exhaust pipe and its gasket from the exhaust manifold RH by detaching the heated oxygen sensor wire harness clamp and unscrewing three nuts. The maintenance procedure includes removal of Bank 1 Sensor 1 and Bank 2 Sensor 1 air fuel ratio sensors together with the No. 2 heated oxygen sensor for Bank 1 Sensor 2 and the heated oxygen sensor for Bank 2 Sensor 2.

Install the No. 2 Heated Oxygen Sensor for Bank 1 Sensor 2 and then the Heated Oxygen Sensor for Bank 2 Sensor 2.

Remove the bolt, clamp, and gasket, then take the tailpipe off the center exhaust pipe and its two supports.
