Service and repair operations for the Coupe Fuel Door Release Cable begin with removing the floor mat from the luggage compartment followed by disassembly of the rear floor finish plate through clip removal using a screwdriver. The first step is to take out the bolt and tray from the luggage compartment side tray assembly. Remove the two clips from the luggage compartment trim cover inner LH using a clip remover tool before taking out the cover itself. The LH front door scuff plate requires removal after you disengage its 3 clips with a screwdriver while taping the tip of the screwdriver prior to use. First tape your screwdriver tip then use the tool to remove the cowl side trim sub-assembly LH by releasing its 3 clips with a screwdriver. The technician should proceed to remove the rear seat assembly followed by the quarter trim panel lower LH. The next step consists of removing the luggage door lock open bezel by elevating the rear edge to unfasten the clip before sliding the bezel backward to undo the claw. Remember to detach and reinstall the slip on the bezel. The procedure starts with removing the luggage door lock open lever sub-assembly as you remove the 2 bolts together with the lever while disconnecting the 2 cables. The next step requires removal of the luggage opener cancel cylinder assembly where you should disconnect both the bolt and the cylinder. Remove the fuel lid lock control cable sub-assembly by first following the instructions to extract the cable after disengaging the clamp mechanism then pulling out the lock retaining piece according to the visual representation.

First install the lock retainer, then the cable as illustrated.

Remove the rear seat assembly and the quarter trim panel lower LH.

Remove the rear seat assembly and the quarter trim panel lower LH.

Secure the cylinder with a bolt, ensuring a torque of 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf).

Take out the luggage compartment side tray assembly by removing the bolt and tray.
