The first step to remove the Fuel Lid Lock Control Cable Assembly starts with battery terminal cable disconnection followed by a minimum 90-second SRS system disable period. The procedure starts by removing the front seat headrest assembly followed by the outer seat track cover and inner seat track cover and the front seat assembly. You must take out the front door scuff plate on the left-hand side followed by the front door opening trim Weather Strip LH, the rear door scuff plate LH together with the rear door opening trim Weather Strip LH. First disconnect the front seat outer belt assembly LH before taking off the lower center pillar garnish LH. The next stage of the removal procedure requires the takinmg out of both the rear seat cushion assembly along with the rear seat headrest assembly, rear seatback outer hinge cover, rear seatback inner hinge cover, and rear seatback assembly LH. The technician should proceed with removing the tonneau cover assembly along with the deck board assembly, No. 2 deck board, jack carrier assembly, jack assembly, deck floor box LH, and deck floor box RH. Remove the child restraint seat tether anchor followed by the luggage compartment tray after which you should remove the rear deck trim cover and then the rear seatback hinge sub-assembly and final step is to take off the rear seat side garnish LH. The service technician should disassemble the luggage hold belt striker assembly along with the rear seat 3 point type belt assembly LH and the No. 1 luggage compartment trim hook and the rear combination light service cover LH and the side deck trim panel assembly LH. The last step involves disconnecting the fuel lid lock open lever sub-assembly by removing its bolt and disconnecting the fuel lid lock control cable sub-assembly through the disconnection of its 2 claws and 8 clamps as shown in the illustrations.

Install the front seat assembly, inspect the front seat slide adjuster lock, install the inner seat track cover, outer seat track cover, front seat headrest assembly, connect the cable to the negative battery terminal (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag), and inspect the SRS warning light (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag).
