    Q:
How to remove the Fuel Door Release Cable on Toyota Venza? Posted by Customer
    A:
Starting the Fuel Door Release Cable removal requires users to disconnect the negative battery cable terminal followed by a minimum 90-second wait to disable SRS system functions. The replacement process begins with extracting the front seat headrest assembly LH from manual and power seats then moving to front seat rear outer track cover LH and front seat rear inner track cover LH removal for both manual and power seats. A technician should remove the front seat assembly LH together with manual and power seats followed by taking off the front door scuff plate LH and cowl side trim sub-assembly LH and front door opening trim Weather Strip LH and rear door scuff plate LH along with rear door opening trim Weather Strip LH. Proceed with removing the lap belt outer anchor cover LH before disconnecting the front seat outer belt assembly LH and then removing the lower center pillar garnish LH. The repertoire of excluded pieces for this section includes the tonneau cover assembly, the deck board assembly, the No. 3 deck board sub-assembly, the deck side trim box LH, the No. 2 deck board sub-assembly, the deck side trim box RH, the No. 1 deck board, the rear seat sub floor panel assembly and the rear floor finish plate. The technician should start by taking off the rear seat headrest assembly LH followed by the removal of the rear seat inner track bracket cover LH then the rear seat outer track bracket cover LH. The rear seat assembly LH requires removal after disconnecting its No. 2 reclining control cable sub-assembly. Extreme caution is necessary during the removal process because these operations require the bifurcated removal of the reclining remote control bezel LH and the luggage hold belt striker assembly LH followed by unhooking the rear seat outer belt assembly LH and separating the deck trim side panel assembly LH. The process ends with disconnecting the sub-assembly of the fuel lid lock open lever through its bolt removal and subsequent disconnection before proceeding to disconnect the fuel lid lock control cable sub-assembly that requires both claw and clamp removal.

    Q:
How to remove the Fuel Door Release Cable on Toyota Venza? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step to remove the Fuel Door Release Cable involves disconnecting it from the negative battery terminal while allowing at least 90 seconds for SRS system disablement. Note that some systems require system initialization upon reconnection. Proceeding with the repair requires initial removal of front seat headrest assembly LH from manual and power seats. Then move on to separating front seat rear outer track cover LH and the front seat rear inner track cover LH from both seat types. The technician should follow these steps to remove the front seat assembly LH for both manual and power seats as well as the front door scuff plate LH, the cowl side trim sub-assembly LH, the front door opening trim Weather Strip LH and the rear door scuff plate LH and the rear door opening trim Weather Strip LH. The installer must first remove the lap belt outer anchor cover LH then disconnect the front seat outer belt assembly LH before taking out the lower center pillar garnish LH. The technician should proceed to remove the tonneau cover assembly (if equipped) along with the deck board assembly followed by the No. 3 deck board sub-assembly and the deck side trim box LH and No. 2 deck board sub-assembly and deck side trim box RH and concluding with the No. 1 deck board. The technician should first remove the rear seat sub floor panel assembly followed by the rear floor finish plate and then the rear seat headrest assembly LH along with the rear seat inner track bracket cover LH and finally the rear seat outer track bracket cover LH. In order to remove the rear seat assembly LH you must disconnect its No. 2 reclining control cable sub-assembly. The repair process begins by removing the reclining remote control bezel LH together with the luggage hold belt striker assembly LH and disconnecting the rear seat outer belt assembly LH. The final step involves removing the deck trim side panel assembly from the LH side along with disconnecting the fuel lid lock open lever sub-assembly by removing its bolt before disconnecting it as instructed in the illustrated procedure and disengaging the 2 claws and 8 clamps to disconnect the fuel lid lock control cable sub-assembly.
