The process of servicing a throttle cable/linkage starts with disconnecting the throttle cable from the throttle linkage and the engine compartment cable clamps before removing the bolt that holds the cable clamp to the torque converter clutch housing. Start the service by removing both the valve body and throttle cable through the retaining bolt extraction and autonomous cable extraction. A new throttle cable requires bending into a 200 mm (7.87 inch) radius then light inner cable tension until resistance occurs and maintaining this position until staking the stopper 0.8 - 1.5 mm (0.031 - 0.059 inch) from the outer cable end. After placing a new O-ring on the throttle cable users must pull the cable before securing it with the retaining bolt and torquing it to 10 Nm (100 kgf-cm, 7 kgf-cm). You will now replace the valve body before connecting the throttle cable to the engine process and installing the drain plug with correct torque of 20 Nm (205 kgf-cm, 15 ft. lbs.). Filling ATF occurs last alongside the fluids level check before performing throttle cable adjustment.

The first step to serve and repair the throttle cable/linkage requires disconnecting the throttle cable from the engine and removing the park/neutral position switch. The ATF should drain through the removal of the drain plug followed by valve body extraction. To install a new throttle cable one must first bend it at a radius of 200 mm (7.87 inch) then apply gentle tension on the inner cable until the user feels a slight resistance while securing the stopper at the cable's end between 0.8 mm and 1.5 mm (0.031 inch and 0.059 inch). Decorate the newest O-ring with ATF then mount it to the cable assembly prior to attachment at the case opening. The process ends by attaching the throttle cable to the transmission housing with the bolt and installation of the park/neutral position switch. The last installation steps involve connecting the throttle cable to the engine followed by installing the drain plug at 20 Nm (205 kgf-cm, 15 ft. lbs.) torque while filling ATF to check the fluid level and perform throttle cable adjustment and a touring test of the vehicle.

Reinstall the valve body, connect the throttle cable to the engine, and install the drain plug with a torque of 20 Nm (205 kgf-cm, 15 ft. lbs.).
