The process of drive belt replacement begins by removing the fan and generator V-belt through step-wise procedure which involves loosening bolts A and B followed by releasing V-ribbed belt tension and ultimately removing the belt. The first step should be to remove the RH engine under cover before handling the vane pump V-belt through bolts A and B by releasing the V-ribbed belt tension for removal. You must put the V-ribbed belt temporarily on each pulley before installing the vane pump V-belt. Repeat this step for the fan and generator V-belt installation. Adjust the fan and generator V-belt tension using an adjusting bar that should be inserted between the engine RH mount bracket and generator to pull towards the vehicle front but must avoid placing the bar near the oil control valve to prevent generator damage. Start with tightening bolt A to 19 Nm before securing bolt B to 54 Nm (550 kgf-cm, 40 ft. lbs.). To adjust the tension on the vane pump V-belt it is essential to start by tightening bolt B to 44 Nm (449 kgf-cm, 33 ft. lbs.) before proceeding to bolt A. After adjusting the tension run an inspection of the drive belt deflection while also inspecting the tension before reinstalling the engine under cover RH with bolt and nut torqued to 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 inch lbs.) each.

Service and repair of the drive belt starts with generator V belt removal done by loosening bolts A and B followed by tension belt release to remove the belt. Prepare the drive belt installation by first removing the engine under cover RH then proceeding with the vane pump V belt. Both components need proper belt tension release after unbolted with A and B. The installation process begins with first testing the vane pump V belt on each pulley before moving on to the generator V belt. Use the Special Service Tool: 09930-00010 adjusting bar to create tension on the generator V belt by inserting it between the engine RH mount bracket and generator as you push the tool towards the vehicle front and avoid putting the bar between the oil control valve and generator to prevent damage. Perform the bolt tightening sequence starting with A first at 18.5 Nm (189 kgf-cm, 14 ft. lbs.) then move to tightening bolt B to 54 Nm (550 kgf-cm, 40 ft. lbs.). When adjusting tension on the vane pump V belt utilize the bar to perform the task before fastening bolt B then move to bolt A and torque it to 44 Nm (449 kgf-cm, 33 ft. lbs.). The last step requires examination of drive belt tension before reinstalling the engine under cover RH.

The first step for replacing a drive belt requires users to remove the fan and generator V-belt after loosening bolts A and B which reduce the V-ribbed belt tension before taking out the belt. Secondly remove the engine under cover RH then proceed to the vane pump V-belt by further loosening bolts A and B until tension is released before belt removal. Set down each vane pump V-belt on its corresponding pulley while installing and follow with the same process for the fan and generator V-belt. To adjust tension of the fan and generator V-belt place the adjusting bar in the engine RH mount bracket and generator until it reaches the desired position toward the vehicle front but never position the adjusting bar between the oil control valve and generator to avoid damage. First tighten bolt A then bolt B using the indicated torque values which are 19 Nm (189 kgf-cm, 14 ft. lbs.) for bolt A and 54 Nm (550 kgf-cm, 40 ft. lbs.) for bolt B. The tension adjustment for the vane pump V-belt requires use of the bar that starts with tightening bolt B first before tightening bolt A to achieve a torque of 44 Nm (449 kgf-cm, 33 ft. lbs.). End the inspection by checking drive belt deflection as well as tension.

Finally, check the drive belt tension and reinstall the engine under cover RH.

Temporarily place the new vane pump V-belt on each pulley, then do the same for the fan and generator V-belt.

Insert the adjusting bar between the engine RH mount bracket and generator, pushing the bar towards the vehicle front to adjust the tension, ensuring not to insert the bar between the oil control valve and generator.
