The installation of the rear center seat outer belt assembly requires hooking the stay of the retractor to the 2 rear seatback frame hooks before tightening the nut at 42 Nm (430 kgf-cm, 31 ft-lbf). Running a quick check on the ELR system function by drawing out the belt with the outer belt from the front seat should confirm belt locking action. Failure to obey specified locking criteria requires replacing the rear seat belt. The next step includes assembly of rear seatback frame sub-assembly and other elements such as rear seatback stop button grommet, rear seatback lock release button, rear seat headrest support, rear seatback lock cover, rear seat shoulder belt cover, rear center seat headrest assembly, rear seat headrest assembly, rear seatback assembly, and rear seatback board carpet assembly with right-hand side precise assembly and installation procedures.

Disconnect the tool and remove various components to access the pretensioner connector.

Align the jam hole in the anchor plate of the rear seat inner belt with the stud bolt of the body and provisionally install the anchor plate. Then, install the anchor plate of the rear center seat inner belt with the bolt, ensuring a torque of 42 N.m (430 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf) while avoiding placement of the anchor plate over the convex areas of the rear seat inner belt. Finally, install the buckle into the rear seatback band and then install the rear seat cushion.

Never dispose of one with an inactivated pretensioner, as it produces a loud sound upon activation.
