The deployment of front seat outer belt assemblies requires use of Special Service Tool 09082-00700 which must operate without electrical disturbances. Connect the red clip of the tool to the plus (+) battery terminal while connecting the black clip to the negative (-) terminal before pressing the deployment switch to confirm LED illumination. The tool must not be used if the LED light turns on by itself without pressing the deployment switch. Connect two Special Service Tool: 09082-00700 to the front seat outer belt pretensioner but avoid locking the secondary connector during the process. The tool deployment location needs to exceed 10 m (33 ft.) distance from the vehicle with all doors and windows shut and no person present within 10 m (33 ft.). According to local regulations remove the front seat outer belt assembly after deployment and dispose of it right away by allowing the outer belt to cool down for thirty minutes before doing any handling.
