    How to service the navigation antenna on Toyota Avalon? Posted by Customer

    The first step for servicing the navigation antenna requires removal of the instrument panel safety pad sub-assembly which contains the front passenger Air Bag. First detach the navigation antenna assembly by taking out a clamp together with 2 screws. Reinstallation of the navigation antenna assembly should be followed by resetting the instrument panel safety pad sub-assembly (w/ front passenger Air Bag). First adjust the spiral cable before you install both the steering wheel assembly and steering pad. Insert battery cable to the terminal that is marked as negative while executing system initialization before visually checking both steering pad components and the SRS warning light indicators.
