The Air Bag sensors consist of the front Air Bag sensor together with the door side Air Bag sensor and side Air Bag sensor and rear Air Bag sensor but SRS parts refer to the combination of steering pad with driver side knee Air Bag assembly and front passenger Air Bag assembly and curtain shield Air Bag assembly plus front seat side Air Bag assembly and front seat outer belt pretensioner. Every step in the proper service order must be followed to avoid accidental SRS deployment that could cause dangerous consequences while also ensuring correct SRS functioning upon deployment necessity. DTCs should be checked first and you must wait 90 seconds past ignition cutoff and battery disconnection to prevent unintended SRS part activation. Write down all memory information from different systems before disconnecting the battery because it will erase their stored data. The diagnostic process demands an ohmmeter with voltmeter features that exhibit 10 kOhms of minimum impedance standards while respecting information labels that accompany SRS parts. SRS parts must not be subjected to disassembly or repair attempts because these require immediate replacement of dropped or damaged parts with fresh units. Control the temperature exposure and flame contact of SRS components yet check these parts after all crashes even if Air Bags stay in their storage position. SRS parts should never receive any substance applications and must always stay separated from high temperatures along with humidity and electrical noise when they are deployed or stored. SRS parts need to be deployed through the proper tool at an outdoor space where people must stay at least 10 m (32.8 ft.) from the area while discharging static electricity before dealing with the parts. SRS parts must cool for thirty minutes after deployment then workers must seal them in a plastic bag while using gloves along with safety glasses before washing their hands. Maintain the Air Bag deployment side pointing up during handling before you touch the area surrounding the front seat outer belt retractor. The battery should remain disconnected while working with the spiral cable and it should not be rotated when attached and should always be kept in the neutral position during installation. All sensors must be replaced in groups whenever SRS parts become deployed for service. Pay special attention to yellow wire harnesses together with their specific connectors. All SRS components must leave the repair area before electric welder use because deployment could occur accidentally and SRS components need examination following car crashes or SRS DTC appearances.
