The service procedure for the Antilock Brakes' Hydraulic Control Assembly starts with disconnecting the ABS actuator assembly connector before removing the battery and unfastening the nuts from engine room relay block No. 2 to relocate it. The next procedure requires usage of Special Service Tool: 09023-00100 to disconnect six brake lines from the ABS actuator assembly with a torque of 15 Nm (155 kgf-cm, 11 ft. lbs.). The ABS actuator assembly can be removed by dislodging its three bolts which need to be torqued to 19 Nm (195 kgf-cm, 14 ft. lbs.). The first step for the ABS actuator involves removing three nut brackets retaining it to the actuator bracket at a torque of 4.7 Nm (48 kgf-cm, 42 inch lbs.) and then extracting the three supporting elements from the ABS actuator. Winding tight the bolt and clamp connecting the ABS actuator requires a torque of 19 Nm (195 kgf-cm, 14 ft. lbs.). The installation process begins by following removal steps in reverse order after brake fluid should be added to the reservoir followed by brake system bleeding and leak checking procedures.
