The first step for Hydraulic Control Assembly for Antilock Brakes removal involves disconnecting negative battery cable then draining brake fluid while immediately cleaning any brake fluid that touches painted surfaces. Remove the subassembly cap of the air cleaner starting with 2TR-FE part number followed by filters and the entire air cleaner enclosure with 2TR-FE part number. The next step is to disconnect the two connectors from the air injection control driver (part number for 2TR-FE) before removing the two accompanying bolts. Follow the sequence of procedures to detach the brake actuator assembly through three steps of connector release with lock lever, tube disconnection from connector and brake actuator by union nut wrench while marking all tubes for later reattachment. The brake actuator with bracket becomes free after removing its three nuts but the brake actuator bracket assembly needs complete disassembly by taking out the three bolts.

You must start the ABS Control Module replacement by disconnecting the negative battery cable and draining the brake fluid before cleaning all painted surfaces which touched brake fluid. The service includes removing the air cleaner cap sub-assembly (part number for 2TR-FE) then the air cleaner filter element sub-assembly (part number for 2TR-FE) and finally the air cleaner case (part number for 2TR-FE). Uninstall the air injection control driver (part number for 2TR-FE) by disconnecting the two connectors and slipping away its two bolts. You need to free the brake actuator assembly by unlocking its connector then taking out the brake actuator connector and using a union nut wrench to break the 6 brake tubes from the actuator. Properly mark each tube before reattaching them. The process ends when you detach the brake actuator with bracket by uninstalling 3 nuts and use bolt removal to eliminate the brake actuator bracket assembly.

Attach the brake actuator with the bracket using 3 nuts, torqued to 19 Nm (194 kgf-cm, 14 ft-lbf), ensuring not to damage the brake tubes and wire harness.
