Begin Brake Actuator with VSC removal by disconnecting the battery cable while removing both the front right tire and engine under cover from the right side. The 2ZR-FE engine needs users to uninstall its V-ribbed belt but the 2AZ-FE engine requires both V-ribbed belts to be removed. The generator assembly must be removed next from both engine types. Drain out the brake fluid and perform swift cleaning on painted surfaces where the fluid touched. Start by removing the 3 bolts fixing the radiator reserve tank subsassembly followed by disassembling the radiator grille protector, No. 4 engine under cover for the 2AZ-FE and front bumper assembly. Remove the assembly that houses windshield washer reservoirs by extracting both the bolt and disconnecting motor connections followed by hose divider then taking out 2 bolts combined with clamp. Remove the brake actuator with bracket by opening the lock lever while disconnecting the brake actuator connector yet carefully avoiding brake fluid entry into the connector. Use a union nut wrench (10 mm) to remove the 6 brake lines that connect to the actuator assembly by first removing its bolt and label the lines for future reinstallation. Finish the removal by taking out the two bolts, nut, and brake actuator assembly bracket and body from the vehicle without damaging the wires or brake lines while also not touching the connector to lift your brake actuator assembly. The completion of the operation requires removing three bolts that secure the brake actuator to the brake actuator bracket assembly.

Remove the engine under cover RH, the radiator grille protector, and the No. 4 engine under cover (for 2AZ-FE).
