The first task in Hydraulic Control Assembly for Antilock Brakes replacement requires draining brake fluid with proper cleaning of any fluid that touches painted surfaces. First disconnect the front wheel on the right side along with the front fender liner from the right side. Disconnect the brake actuator by turning the latch of its connector and using Special Service Tool: 09023-00100 while tag marking all six brake tubes for future reinstallation. Detach the brake actuator with bracket by uninstalling the nut and two bolts. By taking away the three nuts the brake actuator disconnects from its bracket. The brake actuator assembly requires you to install the bracket to the actuator first by tightening 3 nuts to 4.7 Nm torque then installing the actuator-bracket assembly with a nut and two bolts that need to be torqued to 19 Nm capacity. Reinstall the brake actuator tubes to specified brake actuator positions using Special Service Tool: 09023-00100 while torquing them to 15.2 Nm (155 kgf-cm, 11 ft. lbs.) and then connect the brake actuator connector. Reinstall the front fender liner RH together with the right-hand front wheel while torquing the parts to 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft. lbs.). Proceed by filling the reservoir with brake fluid while using Special Service Tool: 09023-00100 to execute bleeding of both master cylinder and brake line before inspecting fluid reservoir levels and checking for brake fluid leaks followed by a hand-held tester verification of the brake actuator system.
