How to remove the fuel tank on Toyota Tacoma?

When removing the 2TR-FE fuel tank it becomes necessary to first drain the fuel system pressure and then disconnect the negative battery terminal cable. The procedure begins with disconnecting the fuel tank main tube and fuel tank return tube by eliminating the fuel pipe clamp and folding the retainer to extract the connectors from the pipes. Throughout this step perform manual work only to prevent foreign particles from entering the connectors and avoid damaging any installed components. You should drain the fuel then remove the fuel tank to filler pipe hose by releasing the clamp bolt until it becomes loose before taking off the No. 1 fuel tank protector by pulling out all four clips.
