The distance control ECU assembly gets installed when fastened with a bolt that requires a torque setting of 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 in-lbf) and the process should not continue if the ECU shows damage or shock symptoms. Next, connect the connector. Begin with the main body ECU at the cowl side junction block LH followed by the No. 1 instrument panel safety pad insert and the lower instrument panel finish panel sub-assembly LH and the hood lock control lever sub-assembly. The installation process includes insertion of the instrument side panel LH followed by the front door opening trim weather strip LH then the cowl side trim board LH and finally the front door scuff plate LH. The distance control ECU must have its initialization sequence performed.
