The windshield wiper motor assembly requires a T30 "TORX" socket to fasten the motor with two screws which needs 7.5 Nm (76 kgf-cm, 66 in-lbf) torque before installation. Start by applying MP grease to the crank arm pivot before putting in the wiper motor with link followed by the wiper motor cover and its clamp. Attach the windshield wiper motor through 3 bolts and a pin under 7.0 Nm (71 kgf-cm, 62 in-lbf) torque and connect its connector. To install the cowl top ventilator louver sub-assembly you should push the louver until 17 claws and 2 clips attach. Install the hood to cowl top seal by attaching 12 clips and 4 clamps and install the washer hose at the same time. The installation of front fender main seal LH requires three clips to be attached; the right-hand-side follows the same installation procedure. The cable insertion occurs at the negative terminal of the battery. Customers should stop the wiper motor at automatic stop position before cleaning wiper arm serrations and pivot and installing wiper arm blade assembly with 25 Nm (255 kgf-cm, 18 ft-lbf) torque while still holding the wiper hinge down. Perform the same installation steps on the front wiper arm RH after which activate the front wipers to check their operation when spraying washer fluid onto the windshield to verify correct functioning without touching the vehicle body.
