You should start with loosening the pivot bolt together with the adjusting lock nut before adjusting the bolt to achieve drive belt tension release and belt removal from the pulleys. The drive belt needs to be installed while adjusting the bolt until it reaches the recommended tension at 165 plus or minus 22 lb for new belts and 110 plus or minus 22 lb for used belts. Romove the drive belt by first loosening the pivot bolt and adjusting lock nut then adjust the bolt to reduce drive belt tension before driving out the belt. Next install the drive belt and use the bolt to apply tension which should be set at 165 plus or minus 22 lb for new belts or 110 plus or minus 22 lb for used belts. Finally secure the adjusting lock bolt to 18 Nm and pivot bolt to 56 Nm.
