- Q: How to ensure proper removal and installation of the Sun Visor on Scion xB?A:The proper installation process for Sun Visors on 2008 and 2009 Scion xB models requires use of this accompanying set of instructions along with the Repair Procedure. The first step involves choosing the 4 claws and pulling them off from the Sun Visor plastic bracket cover until you can easily remove the plastic bracket for installation later. Pull the Sun Visor sub-assembly directly downward to take it out from the metal roof panel opening. Pursue this process to secure remaining metal roof panel clips: Pinch the clip tabs before rotating them outward from the connection point then retrieve these clips to reinstall them into the Sun Visor bracket per specified directions. The bracket cover requires installation into the Sun Visor bracket with both set claws activated yet the full bracket installation should be delayed to protect both the clip and Sun Visor mount as well as the roof sheet metal tabs. Begin by placing both hands on the Sun Visor sub-assembly to install it through the sheet metal roof panel opening by directing the bracket upward. The installation process requires users to first check that the Sun Visor bracket lies flat with the headliner edges before lifting the bracket cover at once to lock all four claws into place.
