    A: The first step to remove the alternator is disconnecting the negative battery cable. Begin the alternator replacement by taking away the V-bank cover sub-assembly before proceeding to detach the air cleaner hose assembly and air cleaner assembly. Begin the alternator replacement by removing both left and right side front fender splash shield sub-assemblies and then disconnecting the No. 1 engine under cover sub-assembly. Per the repair sequence please uninstall the fan and generator V belt and the front fender apron seal from the right-hand side. You need to disconnect both the vane pump assembly and the oil cooler pipe assembly. The generator removal procedure starts with disconnecting the generator connector followed by terminal cap removal with the nut to separate the generator wire then removing the bolt securing the generator wire harness bracket before extracting the three bolts and the generator.
