How to service and repair the drive belt on 2007 Toyota Tundra?

Begin drives belt service by removing the V-bank cover before proceeding to remove the No. 1 engine under cover through its 5 bolts and 3 screws. First free the belt tension by rotating the belt tensioner counterclockwise and remove the fan and generator V belt from its position on the tensioner. The installation process begins with counting the belt tensioner in a counter-clockwise direction until you align the holes after which inserting a 6 mm (0.236 in.) diameter bar maintains the belt tensioner in position before you install the fan and generator V belt. When installing proves challenging fit the belt only to the remaining components before releasing tension and placing it onto the vane pump. Take out the installation bar from the tensioner assembly at the end of the process. Reinstall the No. 1 engine under cover with the 5 bolts and 3 screws where torque must be set to 29 N m (296 kgf cm, 21 ft. lbf) for bolts and 5.4 N m (55 kgf cm, 48 in. lbf) for screws before putting on the V-bank cover.
