2005 Toyota Camry Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to service and repair the blower motor on 2005 Toyota Camry?
A: The blower motor repair requires technicians to start by uninstalling the instrument panel safety pad sub-assembly and then proceed to the heater to foot duct No.1 and finally remove the blower assembly. The first step requires users to remove the clean air filter followed by disconnection of cowl wire No.2 from its clamp. Start by removing the recirculation damper servo sub-assembly through unscrewing its 3 screws. The instrument panel wire No.3 requires the removal of 3 clamps followed by connector disconnect for manual A/C models but need only 2 clamps and connector disconnect for auto A/C models. The manual air conditioning requires the removal of the blower resistor by unscrewing two screws while auto air conditioning requires the blower motor control's removal through two screw extraction. Unscrewing three screws allows you to take out the blower w/fan motor sub-assembly. The installation process requires placing back both the blower assembly and instrument panel safety pad sub-assembly.
