Before starting the replacement you need to remove the charcoal canister protector by disassembling its six bolts. First disconnect the fuel tank vent hose by performing a deep press action on the connector before lifting the locking tab then pressing portion A followed by removing the connector. The technician should disconnect the VSV (for CCV) connector and both the charcoal canister outlet hose No. 1 and the main tube No. 1 fuel hose. Unbolt the charcoal canister with its three retaining bolts afterward. The installation requires torquing the charcoal canister assembly to 29 N.m (296 kgf.cm, 21 ft.lbf) followed by installing the charcoal canister protector at 5.0 N.m (51 kgf.cm, 44 in.lbf).
