How to replace the liftgate lift support on the LH side on 2004 Toyota Prius?

The first step to replace the back door stay on the LH side requires removal of the back door stay assembly LH. First disconnect the 2 stop rings and stay using a screwdriver before extracting bolt A from the door panel with hand support for the back door. The next step involves removing both bolts B together with the stay bracket which exists on the body panel. When installing the stay bracket use two bolts which require tightening to 7 Nm (71 kgf.cm, 62 in.lbf). The installation process requires the use of back door stay bolt on the back door while applying 22.0 Nm (224 kgf.cm, 16 ft.lbf) torque to bolt A before attaching the stay with 2 stop rings.
