The replacement process for Engine Control Module (ECM) begins with removing the glove compartment door assembly first. After disconnecting the 4 ECM connectors the technician removes the ECM by taking out its 2 mounting bolts. Start the replacement by taking off the 2 screws and ECM bracket then proceed to detach the 2 screws from ECM bracket No. 2 after which you can remove the 2 screws from ECM bracket No. 3. Installation procedure includes torqueing the ECM to 3.0 N.m while reassembly of the glove compartment door assembly takes place afterward.
