    A: First support the back door with your hand then eliminate its bolts along with the back door stay before you eliminate the corresponding bolt and back door stay from the body. It is essential to leave the back door stay intact while handling because the cylinder contains pressurized gas. Drilling a 2.0 - 3.0 mm (0.079 - 0.118 in.) hole at the bottom of the back door stay allows one to release high-pressure gas before disposal while remaining cautious of flying chips during the drilling process. The gas is clear and odorless and harmless thus demand special care when handling the back door stay by both avoiding damage to the exposed piston rod and avoiding contact with paint or oil and by not extending the piston rod with the cylinder along with the back door stay. The installation process starts with applying 17 N.m (170 kgf.cm, 12 ft.lbf) torque to bolt and back door stay components attached to the body before moving onto install back door stay components to back door and tightening them using 7.4 N.m (75 kgf.cm, 65 in.lbf) torque.
