How to service and repair the blower motor on 2001 Toyota Prius?

Start the blower motor service and repair by taking out the glove compartment door. After disconnecting the connector proceed to eliminate the blower unit. The glove compartment reinforcement needs knife cutting to remove it but during assembly the appropriate reinforcement (supply parts) should take its place instead of cutting the original material using Part No.: 55558-47010. Start by removing two bolted components comprising the ECM and EMPS ECU and secondly disconnect the two screws and nuts on the assembly. After unit removal you should reverse the installation sequence to fit the blower unit.
