  • Q: How to replace the Cruise Control Switch Assembly on 2001 Toyota Highlander?
A: The replacement process for Cruise Control Main Switch Assembly starts with necessary safety procedures and negative battery terminal disconnection. Follow these procedures to remove the Horn Button Assembly [45130] and the Steering Wheel Assembly [45100] by using Special Service Tool: 09950-50012 (09951-05010, 09952-05010, 09953-05020, 09954-05020). First ensure the front wheels point straight forward. Start the procedure by taking the Steering Wheel Boss Cover Lower [45184] off from its position by removing the 2 screws and steering wheel damper and then unfastening its lower cover through 3 screws. Useward craft to take out the two screws securing the Cruise Control Main Switch Assembly [84630E]. Reinstall the Steering Wheel Assembly [45100] after centering its spiral cable where the wheel stands at its proper center point. The installation process demands an inspection of the Horn Button Assembly [45130] and then a complete examination of the SRS warning light function.
