    Start the steering wheel disassembly by taking off the cruise control main switch. The steering pad switch assembly requires removal when present in the system. Unscrew and release the two pins to detach the No. 2 steering wheel ornament from the steering wheel spoke sub-assembly. You should also duplicate this method to get rid of the No. 1 steering wheel ornament. Next in the process you need to remove the lower steering wheel boss cover after extracting its two screws and breaking free its four claws. Taking off the 2 steering pad attaching screws completes the procedure to remove the lower steering wheel boss cover.
