The steering wheel removal process starts by checking front wheel alignment then taking off the two steering wheel lower No.2 covers. Use a torx socket wrench to loosen the 2 torx screws until their grooved circumference catches the case of the screw. You should remove the wheel pad from the steering wheel then disconnect the Air Bag connector while keeping the pad aligned with its upper face up and avoiding sectioning of parts. Be vigilant when pulling the Air Bag wire harness while removing the wheel pad. The steering wheel set nut needs removal together with connector disconnection at this step while matching points should be marked between the steering wheel and main shaft assembly. The installation requires users to align the matchmarks before pressing in the wheel set nut with a torque of 50 Nm (500 kgf-cm, 35 ft. lbs.) and reestablish the connector. Check that the wheel pad achieves its specified torque when installing it however replace the pad with a new one whenever you detect any damage or if you drop the pad. The equipment needs to receive the Air Bag connection for wheel pad installation, keeping the torx screw's circumference groove engaged with the screw head while maintaining the spiral cable away from the steering wheel dynamic damper. Reinstall the two steering wheel lower No.2 covers by torquing their screws to 9.0 Nm (90 kgf-cm, 78 inch lbs.). Inspect the steering wheel center point immediately after the installation phase.

Remove the spiral cable.
