Water Pump

The first step to install the heater water pump assembly requires fitting heater water hose A using a hose clip while directing the hose groove upward and properly orienting the clip. The heater water pump gets installed with two bolts which require a specified tightening sequence. Connect the connector afterward. The installation of heater water hose C requires placement of the hose clip properly and correct fitting of the hose marking in an upward position. Final steps for this process require wire harness connection and clamp attachment. The process ends by filling in engine coolant followed by leak inspection of engine coolant components.

Disconnect the cable from the battery negative terminal, ensuring to wait at least 90 seconds to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

Remove the fan and generator V belt.

Hold it with Special Service Tool: 09960-10010 (09962-01000, 09963-00600) and remove the 3 bolts.

Install heater water hose C with the hose clip, ensuring the hose marking faces upwards and the clip is positioned correctly.

Disconnect the cable from the battery negative terminal and wait at least 90 seconds to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

Reinstall the engine under cover RH, engine under cover LH, and the radiator support opening cover.

Begin by disconnecting Heater Water Hose C by detaching the clamp and disconnecting the wire harness, then sliding the hose clip to disconnect the hose.
