Expansion Valve

Repair and servicing of the expansion valve starts with evacuating the refrigerant from the refrigeration system followed by an air evacuation and new refrigerant charge process during which leaks need to be inspected using 500 plus or minus 50 g (17.64 plus or minus 1.76 oz.) as the correct amount for one A/C system. The expansion valve and blower unit removal procedure starts by separating the packings with a prying tool while the packing material must stay unused. A hexagon wrench with 5.0 mm or 0.20 in. measurements should be used to unfasten the 2 bolts that secure the expansion valve while applying 3.5 N.m (35 kgf.cm) torque or 30 in.lbf torque. Front all exposed fittings to stop external particles while applying compressor oil for the new O-rings before you seal them onto the tube and valve. The final step requires performing installation by reversing the order from removal.
