Wiper Switch

The first step to service the Wiper Switch demands implementing the correct Restraint Systems procedures. Begin servicing the Wiper Switch by first detaching the battery negative terminal while orienting the front wheels forward. The wiper switch service requires users to remove steering wheel cover lower No.3 then steering wheel cover lower No.2 followed by horn button assembly and steering wheel assembly. The next step requires steering column cover lower removal followed by steering column cover removal before disconnecting the windscreen wiper switch assembly connector and disengaging the claw while taking care to prevent breakage. Follow the opposite sequence for installation which starts with installing the steering column cover and moves to the steering column cover lower before ending with installing the steering wheel assembly. Begin by examining the steering wheel center while you install the horn button assembly followed by the steering wheel cover lower No.2 before putting on the steering wheel cover lower No.3. At the end of the process connect the negative battery terminal while examining the horn button assembly then start the initialization with the final step being a warning light check for SRS.

Remove the steering column cover lower and then the steering column cover.

Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal.

Disconnect the connector from the windshield wiper switch assembly.
