The service and HVAC hose/line repair procedure requires refrigerant discharge from the refrigeration system as its initial step. The faulty tube or hose should be replaced in parallel with immediate capping of exposed fittings to stop system entry of moisture or dirt. You should tighten the bolt or nut joint until it reaches the specified torque value but never surpass the mentioned limits. The service process ends with evacuating air from the system before adding the correct amount of refrigerant: Single A/C needs 800 plus or minus 50 g (28.22 plus or minus 1.76 oz.) and Dual A/C (4-Door) needs 1,250 plus or minus 50 g (44.09 plus or minus 1.76 oz.) with Dual A/C (5-Door) requiring 1,350 plus or minus 50 g (47.61 plus or minus 1.76 oz.). A gas leak detector should be used to check for refrigerant leakage after charging and before performing an air conditioning operational check.
