    Q:
How to replace the heated oxygen sensor on Toyota Prius? Posted by Customer
    A:
The replacement process for the heated oxygen sensor begins with removing the rear floor board No.2 combined with the deck floor box rear and the rear floor board No.3. Engine wire No.3 (battery negative terminal) should be disconnected while you take out the instrument panel finish panel lower center. You must remove the heated oxygen sensor by first using a clip remover to detach its clip then pulling away the floor carpet front and disconnecting the heated oxygen sensor connector while taking away the grommet along with the wire harness clamp bracket. Operating Special Service Tool: 09224-00010 will help you to remove the heated oxygen sensor. Install the new heated oxygen sensor with Special Service Tool: 09224-00010 by tightening it to 44 Nm (450 kgf.cm, 33 in.lbf). Reattach the wire harness clamp bracket along with the grommet and securely connect the heated oxygen sensor connector. Reinstall the instrument panel finish panel lower center and rear floor board No.3 along with deck floor box rear and rear floor board No.2 after checking exhaust gas leak occurrence and reconnecting engine wire No.3 to the battery negative terminal and attaching floor carpet front with its clip. The last step comprises power window control system initialization steps.
