Before placing the wiper link rod on the wiper link you should position the crank arm manually to reach the specified point and apply DENSO No. 50 grease to the pivot joint. The wiper link should be installed after this step. Use four bolts to install the windshield wiper motor and link assembly while torquing them to 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 47 in-lbf). Attach the connector afterwards. Attach the cowl top ventilator louver LH through 5 claws and 2 clips after which secure 8 clips to join the hood to cowl top seal. When installing the front wiper arm and blade assembly LH, first stop the windshield wiper motor at its automatic stop position by operating the wiper before cleaning the assembly parts. Then install the components starting from the nut which requires 34.3 Nm (350 kgf-cm, 25 ft-lbf) torque while securing the nut by holding the hinge manually. The front wiper arm assembly with blade for the right-hand side needs to be cleaned before installation while the nut receives a torque of 34.3 Nm (350 kgf-cm, 25 ft-lbf). Install the front wiper arm head caps before connecting the cable to the negative battery terminal and initializing system processes since some systems need such procedures after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

Begin by detaching all 8 clips from the hood to cowl top seal before removing the left-hand cowl top ventilator louver by unfastening its 5 claws and 2 clips. Sever the connector followed by the unscrewing of four bolts that fasten the windshield wiper motor and link assembly. You need to disconnect the wiper motor windshield link rod by inserting a screwdriver taped with protective material followed by manually positioning the crank arm at the set angle and lastly unfastening the three securing bolts of the wiper motor.
