The front suspension lower No. 1 arm comprises several key components that serve to preserve vehicle stability together with its handling performance. Optimal vehicle performance during service and repair of the control arm relies on how correctly all functioning parts support the vehicle weight while absorbing road shocks. System-wide reliability increases as well as safety through scheduled inspections combined with regular maintenance of suspension components.

The first step for rear upper control arm service and repair begins with removing the rear wheel of the vehicle. The No. 1 suspension arm needs support before removing the bolt combined with the nut to disconnect the upper control arm but maintain pressure on the nut when extracting the bolt. Prior to removing the components write matchmarks on the camber adjust cam along with the No. 2 camber adjust cam and suspension member. You should put the camber adjust cam through the front vehicle side but secure it initially with a nut and No. 2 camber adjust cam. Attach the upper control arm then secure its bolt and nut through temporary tightening. Reinstall the rear wheel with 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft. lbs.) torque and stabilize the suspension for proper tightening of the bolt and nut to 74 Nm (755 kgf-cm, 55 ft. lbs.) while keeping the nut secured throughout installation. Position the matchmarks before securely tightening the nut to 74 Nm (755 kgf-cm, 55 ft. lbs.). Rear wheel alignment needs to be checked and adjusted as the final stage.

Align the matchmarks and fully tighten the nut to the same torque specification.

Install the upper control arm and temporarily tighten the bolt and nut.

Start by installing the suspension support stopper and suspension arm bracket LH, temporarily tightening the nut, followed by the rear side suspension No. 1 arm LH and temporarily tightening the bolt and nut.

Attach the lower control arm to the rear suspension member, temporarily tighten the bolt, then install the nut with a torque of 105 Nm and the clip, adjusting the clip holes if necessary.

Remove the nut, No. 2 camber adjust cam, and camber adjust cam.

Inspect and adjust the rear wheel alignment as necessary.

Install the rear wheel, ensuring a torque of 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf).
